Learn More →Effective Case Management requires more than scheduling appointments. It requires understanding the client's injuries, medical recommendations, rehabilitation goals, insurance coverage, family circumstances, and the barriers that may interfere with recovery.
Depending on the client's needs, our Case Managers may coordinate physician and specialist appointments, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, neuropsychological services, durable medical equipment, attendant care, home care, transportation, home modifications, vocational rehabilitation, and other medically appropriate services.
We monitor treatment recommendations, communicate with providers, identify outstanding needs, and help keep the individuals involved in the case informed. When several providers and organizations are involved, this coordination can help create a more organized and efficient plan of care.
Following a serious Motor Vehicle Crash (MVC), clients may receive recommendations from physicians, therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other providers. Keeping those recommendations organized and moving forward can become increasingly difficult as the complexity of the case grows.
AICM – Michigan provides individualized Case Management for people with complex conditions, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, and other serious conditions requiring ongoing care and rehabilitation.
Our goal is to help create an organized plan of care while keeping the injured individual and family informed throughout the recovery process. Effective Case Management requires communication, clinical understanding, accountability, and the ability to recognize barriers before they become larger barriers to recovery.
Our Case Management is centered on the needs of the injured individual—not the priorities of an insurance company or other outside interest.
Our multidisciplinary team brings extensive clinical, rehabilitation, and Case Management experience to complex Motor Vehicle Crash cases throughout Michigan.
