Michael Malecki is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AICM – Michigan, an organization built on the belief that individuals recovering from catastrophic injury deserve coordinated care led by experienced professionals. Across the organizations he leads, Michael has established a reputation for disciplined leadership, clinical credibility, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way—medically, operationally, and ethically.
As CEO of AICM – Michigan, Malecki oversees the organization’s strategic direction, clinical standards, and long-term growth. His leadership approach is straightforward: surround the organization with experienced professionals, insist on clinical excellence, and remain firmly focused on the individuals and families being served. This philosophy is reflected in AICM – Michigan’s guiding principle—Care, Led by Experts.
With more than four decades in healthcare, Malecki’s career is rooted in frontline medicine. He spent nearly a decade serving with the Detroit Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services Division, responding to critical emergencies throughout the city. He has also worked for more than twenty years as a Registered Nurse in busy emergency departments across Southeast Michigan, caring for patients in some of the most demanding clinical environments in healthcare.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Malecki currently serves as a Firefighter and EMT with the Salem Township and Northfield Fire Departments, continuing a lifelong commitment to public safety and community service.
Malecki’s work has been recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business, which named him a 40 Under 40 honoree for his professional achievements and civic leadership.
Outside of his business responsibilities, Michael is deeply committed to public service and community involvement. He has volunteered with the Michigan Special Olympics for more than 30 years and was honored as Volunteer of the Year for his long-standing dedication. He serves on the Nursing Advisory Board at Washtenaw Community College, helping guide future nurses, and previously served as Vice President of the Advisory Board for The Gathering Place, a community-based nonprofit in Redford, Michigan.
