Karen Jorgensen brings decades of experience in case management, occupational therapy, and rehabilitation to AICM – Michigan. Her career has focused extensively on individuals with catastrophic injuries, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury, coordinating care from the onset of injury through rehabilitation and greater independence.
Karen’s background also includes extensive experience with home modifications, environmental accessibility, Universal Design, return-to-work planning, and community reintegration. She has worked closely with clients and families, physicians, therapists, nurses, attorneys, employers, architects, builders, and other professionals involved in complex rehabilitation.
This combination of clinical knowledge and real-world case management experience gives Karen a valuable perspective when coordinating care for individuals recovering from serious Motor Vehicle Crashes (MVCs). At AICM – Michigan, she brings experience, creativity, and a strong understanding of the many medical, rehabilitation, and practical issues that can affect recovery.
