A Little About Shirley

Shirley Holgate is the steady force behind the scenes at AICM – Michigan, providing the organizational backbone that allows the entire team to function at a high level. She supports the Case Managers, coordinates billing, maintains orderly and compliant files, and serves as the calm, knowledgeable voice on the other end of the phone when clients, providers, or insurers call.
Shirley brings more than 30 years of healthcare operations experience, most notably from her tenure at ASK Health Care, where she was responsible for the full day-to-day operations of the company. Her role spanned finance, human resources, client relations, and staff supervision—giving her a deep, practical understanding of how complex healthcare organizations truly run.
Her responsibilities have included managing accounts payable and receivable, client and insurance billing, and serving as the primary point of contact for auto insurance adjusters and attorneys. She assembled and prepared all banking and accounting documentation for the CPA, processed payroll through the Paychex system, and managed independent contractor payroll manually. Shirley also handled human resource functions from hiring through discharge and coordinated the scheduling of up to 20 caregivers at a time, carefully matching staff to meet each client’s specific needs.
Throughout her career, Shirley has been trusted as a single point of contact for clients and professionals alike, building long-term relationships through consistency, accuracy, and professionalism. She has supervised both office staff and contracted caregivers and is widely respected for her ability to respond to concerns in a calm, clear, and timely manner.
