About Us

Our Story: Rooted in Advocacy. Growing Through Purpose.

At AICM – Michigan, we believe in the transformative power of advocacy—real, relentless, human-centered advocacy. Since the beginning, we’ve stood for one unwavering truth: that individuals injured in motor vehicle collisions deserve expert care, clear guidance, and a team that never gives up. What started as a small, focused endeavor has grown into a statewide movement—fueled by the passion of extraordinary people, and carried forward by a shared mission to do what’s right, even when it’s hard.

The Heart of It All: McCall’s Vision

Our journey began in 2005 with the founding of TRIAD Case Management, established by Maureen McCall, Michael Malecki, and Jennifer Meadows. From the start, McCall was the heart of the organization—an unyielding advocate with unmatched clinical knowledge and a fearless voice for those injured under Michigan’s No-Fault system. While Meadows moved into law and Malecki advanced into hospital leadership, McCall pressed forward, eventually rebranding as McCall Case Management. Her efforts built more than a company—she built a reputation for doing whatever it took to protect her clients.

A Turning Point: The Birth of AICM – Michigan

By 2014, the scale of McCall’s work had grown exponentially—and so had the emotional burden. Facing burnout but unwilling to abandon the mission, she turned to Malecki. He agreed to take on the operational and strategic leadership—but only if McCall stayed involved in a guiding role. And from that pivotal conversation, AICM – Michigan was born: a name that signaled not only a new chapter, but a deeper commitment to the values that McCall embodied—courage, clarity, and relentless client-centered care.

A Team Built to Carry the Mission Forward

In 2015, Cathleen McClelland joined AICM—and everything changed. With her natural leadership, clinical insight, and quiet determination, she helped triple the company’s reach in a matter of months. Over time, she became a cornerstone of the organization, and today, McClelland proudly serves as our Director of Case Management.

In 2016, Jennifer Kosh, SLP brought new clinical range to the team, followed by a wave of exceptional talent that would shape the AICM of today:

  • Jennifer Shilling, RN – Joined October 2018

  • Jillian Hays, OT – Joined March 2019 (now Assistant Director of Case Management)

  • Al Lanning, RN, BSN – Joined January 2023

  • Jessica St. John, BSW – Joined March 2023

  • Erin Douglas – Joined November 2024

Under McClelland and Hays’ leadership—and with Michael Malecki continuing to serve as President and CEO—AICM has grown not just in size, but in impact. Together, this team provides clinical depth, compassion, and coordination to clients with some of the most complex injury profiles imaginable.

McCall’s Enduring Legacy

Even after a dual cancer diagnosis, Maureen McCall never stepped back from the work she loved. As Senior Case Manager Emeritus, she mentored rising staff and remained a constant voice of wisdom, until her passing on March 23, 2022. Her legacy is woven into everything we do—every care plan, every battle for coverage, every family we support.

Who We Are Today

For them, we are not just case managers—we are advocates, allies, and unwavering support systems.

We carry forward McCall’s fire, McClelland’s leadership, and Malecki’s vision. We are AICM – Michigan.
And we’re just getting started.
